Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners may also educate themselves.[1] Education can take place in formal or informal settings and any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. The methodology of teaching is called pedagogy. Education is one of the ten function systems of modern societies.

It has been argued that high rates of education are essential for countries to be able to achieve high levels of economic growth. Empirical analyses tend to support the theoretical prediction that poor countries should grow faster than rich countries because they can adopt cutting edge technologies already tried and tested by rich countries. However, technology transfer requires knowledgeable managers and engineers who are able to operate new machines or production practices borrowed from the leader in order to close the gap through imitation.

How Will You Market Yourself For A Career Change Later In Life

Market yourself in the digital world has changed for everyone. Understanding your personal brand and how to present yourself goes well beyond a basic resume. Recently James Martin quoted our CEO, Melih Oztalay, in an article for the AARP’s Life Reimagined. As a digital marketing entrepreneur, digital industry author, and industry guest speaker Oztalay was thankful. Needless to say, we couldn’t help but wonder what is as Life Reimagined by the AARP! Life Reimagined and the AARP Taking parts of the AARP and the Life Reimagine Institute websites, here is a quick explanation about their efforts. “Life Reimagined was launched by AARP in 2014 as a personal guidance system to help people navigate transitions, pursue their goals, dreams, and purpose in life. The Life Reimagined Institute brings together the world's leading experts in personal development, aging, transitions, and reimagining life. These advisors help develop the groundbreaking Life Reimagined programs, services, content, tools, and innovations that have helped countless individuals reignite their sense of purpose.” To put this in different terms. As we age and live longer, we can continue to matter, contribute to society and be successful. Our needs have changed, our life experiences change our perspectives, and perhaps we [...]

Improvements To Help Your Paid Search Advertising (PPC) Campaign Budget

Since when do readers want to be insulted or put in a position of feeling stupid? Probably never. As an industry author and owner of a web marketing agency I have to keep up with industry news. For this reason I look over quite a variety of editorials. What I found interesting during the first half of this year are articles titled along the lines of "mistakes you're making" concept. Try searching on any combination of words like "ppc", "paid search advertising", and the word "mistakes". The number of editorials being critical about the readers efforts is quite impressive. The pattern of these articles have been catching my attention. It seems completely unnecessary to put the reader in a position of feeling bad about the work they are currently executing. If the author is meaning to be helpful then it makes sense to educate the reader in a manner that emphasizes curiosity to promote learning. Let's take fresh approach by focusing on recommendations and enhancements based on education. The Complexities of Paid Search Advertising Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is an advertising platform in which you are spending money on clicks every minute of every hour. Your daily budget will generate the return [...]

LinkedIn Marketing Series: Using Advertising with Sponsored Updates

Last week we laid a foundation by setting up and updating our LinkedIn company page in our LinkedIn marketing series, "Effectively Using Your LinkedIn Company Page". This was a critical step in order to begin using sponsored updates and other advertising services within LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a significant advertising tool for the B2B community with a highly-targeted communications channel that offers your business a great opportunity. We learned in our first article in this series, "Managing Your Profile and Updates" LinkedIn is the world’s largest business network with roughly 300 million members in more than 200 countries making LinkedIn a good advertising channel. Image Source: LinkedIn.com Aside from the large volume of business members, LinkedIn does provide a “smaller” audience for advertising compared to Google. This gives LinkedIn the opportunity to help you achieve a precise reach at a level you cannot get with Google. This type of targeting includes industry, geography, company, job title, their role in the company, and even LinkedIn groups. LinkedIn advertising is designed as a self-service solution allowing you to create and place ads within the LinkedIn.com website based on your targeting options. LinkedIn members can click on your ads, engage in your ads, follow [...]

LinkedIn Marketing Series: Effectively Using Your LinkedIn Company Page

As we continue our LinkedIn Marketing series, we are going to learn and simplify the use of your company page. Image Source: LinkedIn.com The relationship you have between your business and your customers has become more important than ever. How you present your company to you prospects, clients, and partners is equally important to development and maintain relationships. Brand marketing of your business is not about advertising tasks as much as it is about marketing process activities using engaging and informative information. This is about showing your authority and knowledge to your customers to earn their attention. Does this take more time and energy on your part? Absolutely. You're in this for the long haul. Besides buying ads, email lists, or hoping for a miracle is not what will pull quality people toward your company for long term success. This is about your sharing your knowledge, your website information, industry topics and more. The reality is people tune out promotional messages in favor of useful and engaging [...]
