What would it be like to disconnect from your relationship as a way to be more connected with the person that you’re in relationship with? So, what we tend to do in this reality with relationships is divorce and separate from ourselves as a way to connect deeper with the other person. We then put high expectations on them hoping that they’ll live up to them and disappointed if they don’t. And if they don’t, we tend to get frustrated, even angry, making it difficult to be around that person. So, what would it be like to actually disconnect from your relationship as a way to connect with the person that you’re in relationship with? What if having space within the relationship would allow it to be even greater? How distracted are you?

By people’s negative moods? By your own mood that can be heavy? Distracted by all the stress and the pressure to get things done during the day. So, I have an exercise for us to do together that will allow you to distract yourself back to YOU. Guided Exercise: Okay. So go ahead and close your eyes, and bring your attention to your breathing. Now tune IN and check IN with a word that you resonate with; a word that’s LIGHT for you. This word may resonate from a space of joy; from a space of humor; and from a space of ease… Now be with that word for a moment… and open your eyes. So, use this word during the day when you find yourself distracted by all the things going on around you. Get with the money flow?

What’s your body language?

Now what we tend to do is go into a wrongness of something we don’t like, especially when it comes to ourselves. But what if it’s just, “oh, I dislike this and I like this about me” and it’s all an interesting point of view? Mission possible?

The funny thing about that is, we tend to go into problems to try to fix the problems we’re suffering in rather than just choosing something else. So I’ve asked this question before and I’m going to ask it again now (can never ask it too many times ) “What else is possible?” The truth is, when we go into possibilities, we no longer have to go into problems to get where we would like to go. “How do you that? To no longer go into problems?”, you may ask? Well, the shift from a problem to a possibility can be as simple as asking a question like, “what else is possible here I have yet to discover?” and see what you notice.
