Jaguar designers combine vintage luxury with modern functionality in the Jaguar E-Type Zero

Jaguar keeps the iconic vintage model appearance alive in its upcoming model E-Type Zero Jaguar is going back to the future with an electrified E-type model. The model E-Type Zero replicates some of the features of the 1960’s. The designers have created a self-contained modular electric powertrain that has the same dimensions and physique as the original engine and transmission. The 40.0-kWh battery pack is similar to the battery pack in the Range Rover P400e plug-in hybrid, with twice the amount of cells and improved energy. It sits alongside a compact 295-hp electric motor. This area is where the four-speed gearbox once sat. Jaguar unveiled the prototype of the E-Type Zero at the Quail, a Motorsports Gathering at the Monterey Car Week earlier this year.
