Porsche Ranks Highest in J.D. Power’s 2016 APEAL Study for 12th Consecutive Year

Porsche Santa Barbara applauds Porsche’s victory and the brand’s ability to design vehicles that appeal to nearly every driver. One of the many vehicle studies conducted by J.D. Power is the APEAL study, which stands for Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout. The intent of this study is to determine what features customers value most by examining what consumers like about their vehicle ninety days after purchasing. In fact, the study has been nicknamed the “Things gone right” study. APEAL focuses on eight categories of vehicle performance and design: engine/transmission; ride, handling and braking; comfort/convenience; seats; cockpit/instrument panel; heating, ventilation and cooling; sound system; and styling/exterior. In other words, the study is basically an overall evaluation of the vehicle’s reliability and likeability. Porsche ranking highest in overall appeal is exciting news for Porsche Santa Barbara.
