Disconnect as a way to connect?

HELLO MY FRIENDS!

Dr. Sarah here and welcome to video 149.

Okay. What would it be like to disconnect from your relationship as a way to be more connected with the person that you’re in relationship with?

So, what we tend to do in this reality with relationships is divorce and separate from ourselves as a way to connect deeper with the other person. We then put high expectations on them hoping that they’ll live up to them and disappointed if they don’t.

And if they don’t, we tend to get frustrated, even angry, making it difficult to be around that person.

So, what would it be like to actually disconnect from your relationship as a way to connect with the person that you’re in relationship with?

What if having space within the relationship would allow it to be even greater?

A Space to BE With

Take a moment to focus in on a relationship that you’ve deemed significant and ask yourself the following questions.

How would you describe this relationship?

Do you have high expectations for it?

What are some of these expectations and has this person lived up to them?

Do you find yourself disappointed and dissatisfied?

Do you end up feeling stuck and frustrated by it?

So what would it be like to disconnect from this relationship and allow yourself to have space from it?

What if space and separation would allow you to connect in way that’s lighter for you and the relationship?

What if this would allow you to maintain your way of being while BEing in relationship?

What would that be like?

What are you aware of? Is it light or heavy?

What contribution might this be and what could be generated and created as a result?

Let’s Talk About It!

When you are willing to be in the question and look at your life from a different perspective, it opens you up to a different world of possibilities… a space where choice and change is readily available with more ease. What would it be like?

So I invite you to share your awareness and points of view on my YouTube Channel.

All right my friends. Be with that, play with that, and let me know what that’s like for you and I’ll look forward to talking to you again soon. Take care for now.
